How to setup an Auto-Responder in cPanel?

In a situation where you desperately want to take some time off but cannot because there is no way to respond to your emails – sadly you will never get a holiday! But thanks to cPanel’s Auto Responder which comes free of charge with your hosting account, all that is taken care of.

You can configure the Auto Responder tool to send pre-defined replies automatically to anyone who sends emails to a particular email address of yours. This way none of your customers will be left behind with no reply till you return.

There are many different auto responders out there in the market and there are many different ways to set it up but, we will be focusing on how to use cPanel to set up your Auto Responder.

Setting up an Auto Responder in cPanel

  1. Log in to your cpanel account and click on the Auto Responders icon under the Mail section.cpanel-auto-responder
  2. The page you land on is where the auto responder will be created. Click on the Add Auto Responder button to proceed.add-auto-responder
  3.  Leave Character set value (utf-8) as it is and type in an email address you want to set the auto responder for.cpanel-auto-responding-email-address
  4. Fill out the fields From and Subject to suite your auto reply email.auto-responder-interface

  6. Click on Create/Modify to complete it.create-modify
  7. There you go! your auto responder has been created.success-message
